How perspective changes

He was arrested tonight. I thank God that he is safe. Hard to believe how a parent can be so relieved when they hear their son is arrested and will spend the weekend in jail. Oh, the life with an addict is such a strange and dark adventure. All things considered. I am grateful for this 'miracle'. Everything happens for a reason. Our lives take us on a journey with a specific destination,some roads are just so much bumpier than others. Most of the world's great people have led a tragic life, I am holding on to the belief that my son has something great in his future, that this pain will lead him to his amazing life. There is great opportunity in crisis. Thank you for your prayers and support.
